When I say, " street photography", I refer to the picture that doesn't be taken in events or studios. Is the photography of the real life, where the photographer, professional or amateur becomes part of what is happening or is witness of first hand of the facts, ending up many times to put in risk his life to make some takings. Many people ask me why I go with my camera on the back day and night. I believe that the exact answer would be: "because I am a photo- addict" . This has sometimes put in danger my life, as you can appreciate in the picture where is the title of this writing in that for go amid a shooting between policemen and kidnappers, the police confused my lens with a telescopic aim and began to shoot me. What I could make in those moments??, Nothing, only to take the pic that perhaps would be the last pic of my life. Is incredible but, at least in my case, I feel immune to the danger when I am behind my camera, thing excessively stupid, but that I find that it happens to many photographers. The good of this type of "Hobbie" is that one doesn't need to have a professional camera, you only need a decent film camera or a digital of 3 mp and better if it has a good optical zoom. Sometimes, in this type of picture, the photographer becomes part of the fact that is happening. For example one day I was walking toward the church with my wife and we saw a young guy drinking beer at 7:00 am in the border of a clff that is more than 70 meters high direct to a freeway . Immediately I suspected that he was a suicide and while I tried to speak with him I took out my camera and I had it ready for what happened. The guy told me that he planned to jump in that moment, but a cyclist that had noticed of the fact looked at me and it was as if we had connected ourselves mentally to save him. Then he put on a side where the suicide didn't see him and I put myself in view of the suicide and I said him, if you are so valiant, why instead of jumping, don't you fight with me?, the guy , that was totally drunk and perhaps drugged began to come toward me and the cyclist come closer from behind to him to grab him among both and to take him away from the cliff, but, in that precise moment the rescue squad of the police arrive and the guy make a half turn, looked to the hole and jump, all this in front of mine that with my camera in hand captured those moments that I put them here as a collage.
